This Internship Program offers learning opportunities for students and recent graduates including master’s and Ph.D. graduates to learn about UNESCO’s mandate, programs, and processes as well as enhance their academic and technical knowledge through practical assignments.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for UNESCO internship program applicants must fulfil the criteria listed below:
- The applicant must not be less than 20years at the time of application.
- Must be currently enrolled at graduate program master’s degree, Ph.D., second degree at the time of application.
- Recent masters or Ph.D. graduate within the last 12months prior to the start of the internship are also eligible to apply.
- Candidate must posses good command of English or French language both written and oral.
- Excellent knowledge of computers and office-related software
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be a team player must be able to adapt to the international working environment

UNESCO Internship Application Procedure
Interested applicants for the internship program are to apply online via the UNESCO internship application portal.
- Please note that it is important for the applicants to be aware of the following under listed points:
- Ability to obtain all the necessary visas. It is the responsibility of the applicants
- Must be able to arrange and finance travels to the internship location
- Medical certificate of fitness
- Candidates must show proof of comprehensive health insurance. UNESCO will only provide limited insurance coverage up to USD 30,000 against the Risk of illness, disability, or death during the internship period.
- candidate must provide her ID/Certificate of Enrollment/Diploma (if you have just recently graduated).
- Interns are entitled to 2 and half days of leave per month during their internship program.
